These are designed for general 12 Volt DC, 24 Volt DC or 48 Volt DC to 120 Volt AC conversion. The new "AE Series" has a 120 Volt or 240 Volt output. Every Magnum inverter also has a battery charger for charging batteries from any 120V AC source such as a generator or 120V AC shore power hookup.

This is perfect for RV'ers or rural residents wishing to run a generator or other 120 volt AC (or 240 Volt with AE Series) hookup for backup power.

A charge controller is required to charge batteries with a solar array (not included).

Magnum Energy ME Inverters are direct replacements for all inverter/chargers currently being installed at the OEM level. They have easy-to-access AC and DC connections for quick installation. The optional remote is attractive and easy to use, yet allows full access to inverter setup parameters. Their rugged design offers unsurpassed reliability and all models are marine compatible with corrosion resistant materials.

The Magnum Energy MS inverters have the same features as the ME inverters yet have a very clean pure sinewave output. Pure sine wave inverters are recommended for computer equipment, televisions, stereo amplifiers and sensitive radio equipment.

These are are also designed for use with generators. Magnums include “Next Generation” battery chargers offering to reduce generator run time by up to 40% over competitive products. The result for RV and Marine users: more quiet time and less fuel.

Magnum’s innovation is a Power Factor Corrected Sinewave Charger that works equally well on low generator or shorepower voltages and uses significantly less AC amps at full output. For example, Magnum Chargers need only 15 amps of AC power to deliver 100 DC amps of charge current, compared to 23 amps with competitive products.

A solar array may be connected to this system with a charge controller or regulator. The Blue Sky Solar Boost MPPT Charge Controller or an Outback MPPT Charge Controller are great choices.

An automatic generator starter (ME-AGS) is available to switch on generator AC power automatically when battery DC voltage gets below a certain level (starter voltage, run time, time and/or start temperature can be set on starter).
