SatCon PowerGate inverters offer market-leading reliability, efficiency and ease of use for large scale grid connected solar power systems. A single enclosure solution, the utility-grade PowerGate incorporates a high-efficiency transformer and both AC and DC switchgear the disconnect the inverter at night, minimizing tare losses. A highly efficient MPPT tracking algorithm and intelligent wake-up routine further maximize the net energy harvest of your system.
The PowerGate is certified to UL-1741 and is available with a variety of local and remote data monitoring options. A 4-line alphanumeric LCD display provides local monitoring.
A single enclosure with integrated high-efficiency transformer and internal AC and DC switchgear simplifies installation.
Options include integrated sub-array combiner, PV View web-enabled data monitoring, PV Zone sub-array performance monitoring and RS485 Modbus.
The units are
grid-tied and line interactive, enabling them to convert direct
current power from solar arrays to alternating current power that
is compatible with the utility voltage for export to the grid. SatCon
integrates high reliability components into complete systems allowing
for exceptional performance, the highest efficiency in their class
and low installation costs. Compliance and certification to UL1741
and applicable ANSI and IEEE standards insures compatibility with
the local utility as well as providing qualification for approval
by the California Energy Commission and other states.
SatCon
manufactures commercial solar inverters ranging from 30 to 500KW.
This broad range of product choices available to installers, helps
to maximize the power generated by the solar array, allows users
to take maximum advantage of available financial incentives and
shortens the payback cycle for the entire solar power installation.
This market is driven by state Renewable Portfolio Standards (RPS) goals, with primary markets in California, New Jersey, Florida, Nevada, Colorado and New York . Additional growth will come from expanded programs in these states and as other states expand their RPS rebate subsidy program. Inverters represent approximately 20% of the value of commercial scale Satcom based PV systems.
