The
newest SMA 4000 grid-tie inverter by Sunny Boy is ideal for solar
grid-tie systems. It has been updated with advanced technology and
is designed to meet the new IEEE 1547 requirements. The compact
design makes it ideal for light commercial or residential use.
Flexibility and Value
The
SB4000US has an integrated DC disconnect that makes installation
more cost-effective. This inverter is field configurable for positive
ground systems, this makes it more versatile than other grid tie
inverters.
The
auto-sensing capability makes the SMA SB 4000US more flexible and
easier to install than ever. It will automatically detect whether
the output voltage is 208VAC or 240VAC.
The
Sunny Boy is designed to support solar PV modules in series, increasing
efficiency and eliminating the need for expensive DC distribution
systems and cabling. Each SMA inverter is equipped with a separate
and autonomous grid monitoring facility that enables the user to
hook up the AC output to any point within the electric distribution
system of house.
Sunny
Boy system diagnosis and control can be transmitted to your PC via
many means. These include RS485 and Wireless. You can even view
your system statistics on the internet! (with optional system monitor)

Sunny
Boy inverters are housed in a watertight stainless steel NEMA 3R
outdoor enclosure. The SMA US Series can operate in extreme conditions
(ambient temperatures of -13ºF to +113ºF). They can be mounted right
behind the solar module array on the roof, on a wall, or on the
ground.
