XW Series Inverter / Charger Highlights:

Xantrex XW inverters are now produced by Schneider Electric. These robust inverters have a built in charger. The XW series brings the next generation of inverter/charger to market. The XW Hybrid Inverter/ Charger, the heart of the XW System includes a battery temperature sensor for temperature compensation. The XW Hybrid Inverter/Charger (XW) is a true sine wave, 120/240-volt AC, split-phase, inverter/charger that incorporates a DC to AC inverter, a battery charger, and an AC auto-transfer switch. It is the foundation for battery- based residential and commercial applications up to 18 kilowatts (kW). Capable of being grid-interactive or grid independent, the XW can operate with generators and renewable energy sources to provide full-time or backup power.

The Xantrex XW series hybrid inverter / charger offers an innovative, integrated design which minimizes external balance-of-system components. This allows for a much quicker and easier installation. The XW4024, XW4548 and XW6048 inverters are certified to UL-1741 and CSA 107.1 for grid-tie applications. The XW series can be used as a grid-tie inverter or an off-grid inverter. One or two XW MPPT charge controllers are required for PV grid-tie operation.
