Zomeworks Cool
Cell Watt Box
The Mini Cool Cell Watt Box is a passively cooled enclosure
with separate compartments for small batteries and electrical components
for small solar powered systems.
Cool Cell®
Temperature Regulating Enclosures are highly insulated, passively
cooled electrical enclosures designed to protect batteries and sensitive
electronic equipment from the extremes of the outdoor climate and
high temperatures.
Cool Cells
are best suited for remote locations where grid power is non-existent
and reliability is critical:
1. Cool Cells
use no electricity.
2. Cool Cells have no moving parts other than pure water.
3. There are no recommended replacement parts
4. No scheduled maintenance is required.
This is a
Passive Unit
COOL CELLS®
are highly insulated, passively cooled outdoor enclosures for batteries
and low power electronic equipment. An internal water reservoir
connected to the radiator lid of the enclosure is recharged with
cool water each night. The cooled water guards against day time
temperature extremes to preserve the life of batteries and reliability
of electronic equipment. They are best suited for critical applications
at remote sites.
Passive Design
- The Ultimate in Reliability
Both the Convection
and Diffusion H2 Vents are completely passive in design. This results
in the highest degree of reliability, a critical specification in
this safety related application. Simply put, if hydrogen becomes
present in a Cool Cell equipped with either of our H2 Vents,
it will escape.
Zomeworks' philosophy
is to accomplish a task with no external power or moving parts wherever
possible. Cool Cells are outdoor enclosures, and must be able to
function in a wide variety of hostile environments. By keeping the
designs simple, these products can operate reliably across a wide
range of environmental parameters.

Temperature
Regulating Enclosure
At night, the
warmed water convects up to the radiator lid on the enclosure, cools
and returns to the reservoir below. Each night the reservoir is
recharged with cool water and the enclosure is ready for another
day of heat. In the winter, during freezing weather, this same reservoir
of water releases 144 BTUs per lb. as it freezes enough heat
to guard the enclosure from subfreezing temperatures for several
days in most climates.
