The APsmart RSD-S-PLC is a module-level power electronics (MLPE) solution designed to meet NEC 2017, 2020, and 2023 690.12 requirements for rapid shutdown in solar installations. Fully SunSpec-certified, it uses Power Line Communication (PLC) to receive heartbeat signals from the transmitter and shuts down operation immediately when a signal is lost.
Built with an APsystems-designed ASIC chip and a high-integration SoC, the RSD-S-PLC offers unparalleled reliability, low power consumption, and noise isolation from AFCI systems. Its compact form factor, rugged IP68-rated enclosure, and flexible mounting options make it ideal for both residential and commercial solar projects.
