Quality-assurance of LG Solar NeON 2 solar panels is a top priority, that's why their solar panels are created using the most technologically advanced processes available. LG's state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities are designed to produce high quality, high performance cell panels that come ready to perform.
LG’s NeOn 2 Solar Cell Process
Each wafer is thoroughly examined and measured to eliminate defects, so only the best-quality wafers are selected.
Selected wafers then undergo a wet etching process which surfaces are immersed in acidic (multi) and alkaline (mono) solutions to help reduce light reflection.
N-type emitters are formed by loading P-element POCI3 gas into P-type wafers.
NeON 2 wafers are then coated with an anti-reflective SiNx:H film through a PECVD method using SiH4 & NH3 to dilute reflection and improve passivation.
Metallic electrodes are composed to gather activated electrical carriers (electrons and holes) for each cell.
Cells are finally measured and sorted by efficiency and classified by level of defect, color and electrical characteristics.
LG's Solar Panel Process
LG solar panels are expertly crafted to deliver optimum output and ensure reliable operation by using a number of different methods:
Each incoming wafer is investigated again to eliminate any faults and defects.
Cells are then welded with strings by busing ribbons to meet the required power output.
Cells are assembled with layers of glass, EVA film and back sheet to protect cells from external damage.
These layered modules are then encapsulated to prevent cells from water infiltration.
Modules are installed with a junction box for electrical connection and framed to ensure mechanical strength.
Each LG NeON2 LG320N1C-G4 solar panel is finally simulated for output performance and classified accordingly before completion.
